YOUR TEAM

Rehabilitation is a team effort, and at Dynamic Rehabilitation, you are at the centre of your team. We would like to take the opportunity to tell you more about the health professionals, who may be involved on your treatment team.

Case Managers

Case management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual's health needs through communication and available resources.

Case management serves as a means for achieving client wellness and autonomy through advocacy, communication, education, identification of service resources and service facilitation. The case manager helps identify appropriate providers and facilities throughout the continuum of services.

Occupational Therapists

Occupational Therapy is a treatment that focuses on helping people increase independent function and enhance development in all areas of their daily life (e.g., home, work, community).

Occupational therapists believe that occupations describe who you are and how you feel about yourself. If you are unable to do the things you want, or need to do, to live and to enjoy your life, then your general well being may be affected. Occupational therapists work with people of any age to promote health, prevent disability, and develop or maintain abilities. Occupations can include self-care (i.e. personal care, mobility), leisure (i.e. social activities, sports) and productivity (play, school, employment, homemaking).

Occupational therapy provides the skills for the job of living and solves the problems that interfere with people’s ability to do the activities or occupations that are important to them.

Physiotherapists

Physiotherapists provide services to people who have impairments, disabilities, or decreased functional ability resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. They analyze the impact of injury, disease, or disorders on movement and function.

Physiotherapy is dedicated to:

  • Improving and maintaining functional independence and physical performance,
  • Preventing and managing pain, physical impairments, disabilities and limits to participation; and
  • Promoting fitness, health and wellness.

Kinesiologists

Kinesiologists provide services to people needing assistance with exercise progression, support during reintegration into their community and job coaching.
